Farmers will gherao Parliament, forty lakh tractors to reach Delhi: BKU leader Rakesh Tikait

The protesting farmers will gherao the Parliament if the central government doesn’t repeal the farm laws, Bharatiya Kisan leader (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait has warned. There will be forty lakh tractors this time instead of 4 lakh, he added.
Tikait has also asked the protesting farmers to be ready as there can be a call to march to Delhi anytime.
Will do farming in India Gate lawns
Addressing the Kisan Mahapanchayat of United Kisan Morcha in Sikar, Rajasthan, Tikait said, “These farmers will stay at Delhi borders and so will the tractors. This time, the march will be towards the Parliament. There will be forty lakh tractors and not four lakh.”
He said that the farmers will do farming in the lawns near India Gate and will also grow crops. He added that the date for the march will be decided by the United Front.
Referring to the violence that broke out on Republic Day after some protestors clashed with the police, the farmer leader said, “In the case of 26 January, there was a conspiracy to defame the farmers of the country. The farmers of the country love the tricolour but not the leaders.”
Farmers will also demolish the godowns of companies
Tikait said that the government has an open challenge from the farmers that if it does not repeal the three agricultural laws and does not implement the MSP, then the farmers will demolish the godowns of big companies. For this, the United Front will also give a date soon. The Mahapanchayat was also addressed by Yogendra Yadav, the leader of the Swaraj movement, Amararam, the national vice-president of the All India Kisan Sabha, and several farmer leaders, including the National General Secretary of the Kisan Union, Chaudhary Yudhveer Singh. Earlier, Tikait also addressed a farmers’ gathering in Sardarshahar of Churu district.
